Retail Driver – Merseyside, Cheshire & North Wales
Salary £22,400 – £24,700 pro-rata
22.5 hours per week
Do you want to come to work each morning knowing that you can make a real difference?
Claire House is a place of positivity and laughter, where we help seriously and terminally ill children live life to the full.
An opportunity has arisen for a Retail Driver to join our Retail Division’s dynamic stock collection operation. Our aim is to ensure that the maximum profit is raised from every donation we receive. We have 16 high street shops and in the past our Retail Division have raised over £600,000 in profit to help support the work of the hospice.
This role is physically demanding. There is a requirement for heavy lifting.
The successful candidate will collect new and donated stock from our supporters across Wirral, Merseyside, North Wales and Cheshire. This will include individual donors, local businesses, large organisations and corporate supporters.
The role will include transporting and transferring stock to ensure it reaches the shop that has the best potential for selling it. When it comes to items that we cannot sell, our stock collectors play a key role in ensuring that Claire House responsibly recycles as much stock as possible.
A branded van, satellite navigation and mobile phone will be provided for business use.
All applications must be submitted on a Claire House application form available here via email to jobs@clairehouse.org.uk. Please look at the person specification and job description here before you apply. We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
The organisation needs your help and co-operation, to build an accurate picture of the make-up of our workforce and job applicants, to encourage equality and diversity. The Equality and Diversity monitoring form is available here (filling in this form is voluntary). This can be completed and returned via email to jobs@clairehouse.org.uk
This organisations recruitment and selection procedures reflect our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All staff and volunteers are expected to share this commitment.
