We’re looking for some extra special professionals to help provide beauty and wellness treatments to some of our young adult patients, some parent’s or families. This could include hairdressing, nail and makeup treatments.
You’ll help them to feel their best and pamper them when they need it most. This could include providing treatments to young adults who are terminally ill, but planning special events such as engagements, graduations, 18th/21st, or mums whose child is very poorly, and needs a boost.
Tasks may include:
- Provide beauty treatments e.g. hair, makeup and nails
- Hair: cutting, washing and styling
- Nails: providing manicures and pedicures, including nail painting
- Makeup: applying makeup and offering makeovers
- Respect the pace and needs of each individual
- Maintaining all beauty tools and equipment is clean, sterilised and well-maintained for safe and hygienic use
- Travel to where is best for the individual to receive the treatment—this could be at the hospice, in a local hospital or at home
Requirements:
- Professional experience in hairdressing, makeup and/or nail care
- Sensitive to the needs of the young person and families
- Understanding of hospice support, including an awareness of end-of-life care
- Strong communication skills and flexibility to adapt are essential
Availability: Flexible and ad-hoc
