Our Formby shop is based in the heart of the community, with charity shop hunters coming from far and wide to shop and say hello.
We’re looking for friendly ad-hoc volunteers to join our Formby team, to support the team when (regular) volunteers go on their well deserved holidays. Ad-hoc, flexible volunteers would cover volunteer holidays, planned in advance- this could mean you volunteer just a couple of days a year, so is not a weekly or monthly commitment. However, will make a huge impact for the shop’s team.
This is an exciting opportunity for anyone looking to meet new people, learn transferable skills and develop retail experience. This is a flexible role to fit around you. We’d be happy to have you on board.
Main tasks could include:
- Sorting through donations and stock.
- Steaming and tagging stock.
- Hanging stock ready for the shop floor.
- Taking and processing payments.
- Hanging out stock on the shop floor.
- General shop duties
Volunteers will be part of a friendly and supportive team. Claire House is committed to enabling and empowering our volunteers to utilise their existing skills whilst learning and developing new skills.
