Jake proves you are never too young to fundraise and make a difference.

Jake, age 7, started his fundraising journey for Claire House in the summer by holding a bake sale and raising £16.

When dropping his fundraising money off at his local NCS event, he overheard someone talking, using the word ‘terminal’.

Jake asked his mum what this meant and once it had been explained Jake leapt into action.

“I wanted to fundraise because I want to help other people in need and I could use my ability of swimming for it ” explained Jake.

Within 24 hours, Jake had planned a swim-a-thon.

On the day, Jake, who had only been swimming for just a year, managed to swim an amazing 20 lengths!

The kind support of his swim-a-thon has helped to take Jake’s fundraising total to £461. But he isn’t stopping there, he has said he hopes to plan something else in the near future.

Kids helping kids are truly an inspiration and its children like Jake whose passion for fundraising at such a young age help Claire House to provide the care and support local families deserve.

Thank you Jake, you are a superstar! A Claire House Hero!
